Should be working on my research paper right now...but I'm not.

Nickel Creek is going to be at MC on April 17th. I'm really happy. Because I will definitely be there.

I'm going through a jazz/blues phase right now. And I have a slight obsession with Jamie Cullum.

These are the times of love and meaning
Ice of the heart has melted away and found the light
These are the days of endless dreaming
Troubles of life are floating away like a bird in flight........

It's been so long...
So, even though no one ever reads this, I'm bored with facebook and don't really care to make a myspace.

Ha...Look two entries down. Did you laugh? Well, we all know I did not end up there. Quite the opposite actually. And I absolutely love it here. Don't think I could have made a better choice.

College is pretty much amazing. So is my life right now. I realized how blessed I am with the more-than-words-can-describe-incredible family that I have. And my friends are pretty fantastic too.

I found this quote today, and, being the sap that I am, I really like it:
"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch…to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!-Ralph Waldo Emerson

And also, being the nerd that I am, I got excited because I got a lot of new books before I came back to school:
Anna Karenina, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Crime and Punishment, Velvet Elvis, Irresistible Revolution, The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter, Prep.

Favorite songs right now:
Catalyst -- Anna Nalick
We Never Change -- Coldplay
anything Nickel Creek...I always forget how much I like them.
Greatest Romances -- Arkitekt
Tiny Vessels -- Death Cab
The Brilliant Dance -- Dashboard
Lonely Day -- Phantom Planet
Sunday Morning -- Maroon 5

I am also taking a poll. What do you think about me getting my nose pierced? Not a ring, just a little stud. My sister told me I would look funny...when it was ripped out. Ha.

Just thought I'd make a random sharing post. That is all.

--AMES...it's been a while since I've been called that.

- Crush

So I've about decided that this is where I'm going to end up next year...

Saturday was fun...I got to hang out with some pretty cool people, and the rebels actually WON a game! I had fun hanging out with ya'll...we should do it again. After the game was not so fun, and some of you know why. He'll get over it. Anyway, I'm gonna go do something productive...maybe. Later--
